Hyundai is going wild with this new concept, Veloster Grappler
Hyundai wants to surprise again
Hyundai is set to unveil a new concept called the Grappler. The grappler is based on the current generation Veloster. With an increased ground clearance (it is set to appeal to the crossover crazy car buyers all over the world.)
Make no mistake, this car may be built on the Veloster, which is a funky little fun car targeted at young buyers, but the Veloster Grappler is meant to be a serious off-roader than you think, Hyundai says the Grappler is coming with superb approach and departure angles to for confident off-roading.
The Concept is fitted with huge all-terrain tires on rally-themed racing wheels and a visceral exhaust. The Grappler is designed to be a capable versatile car from the get-go; it is with roof-mounted utility lights that enable this.
Hyundai makes sure the ruggedness of the Veloster Grappler concept is seen from the cabin too. The concept is with an integrated roll bar that is providing occupants protection. And also, because of the mounting of a full-size spare tire on the roof, this integrated roll bar comes in handy to ensure the structural integrity of the vehicle is not affected in any way.
Hyundai is making this Grappler adventure-ready as much as possible, with the removable solar panel which feeding an all-electric power station inside the cabin, one would be confident taking this car out for some exciting remote journey. A custom body wrap features a ghosted Hyundai-themed livery. And an aftermarket carbon-fiber hood helps with venting heat from the engine bay, Hyundai said. A host of adventure accessories including racing seat, first-aid kit, outdoor dome tent, ambient footwell lighting, and cargo blocks.
Hyundai will reveal this car at this year’s SEMA which runs from November 5th -8th at the Las Vegas Convention center
